I don't see the point in making these rods for the glitter boat folks, which by the way, I am one, as it serves too narrow a purpose. You can't pull a 4lb bass out of the hydrilla with a fairy stick. But, they do serve as great rods when I'm in my kayak fishing the narrow channels in the Sebastian river for tarpon, again, a specialized application. I personally wouldn't pay the kind of bucks Scott is asking for a fly rod that only serves one purpose, and would be hard pressed to pay the bucks for the Sage outfit either.
On another note, the local bass clubs here have banned fly fishing in tournaments anyway, so what demographic are they trying to reach?
